CADEAU CLASSIC 2025

  • WHY?

    There are so many great players in Sweden and so much talent. Cadeau Classic wants to highlight talent from all over the country & show that hard work pays off.

    We also want to engage players from different teams and areas and get them together for the love of basketball. This is a true celebration of Swedish basketball & the youth!

  • WHO?

    We are looking for the top 16 2006 or 2007 boys and girls in the country. We need you coaches and basketball leaders to nominate who you think that is.

    Send your nomination in and our board will take a look at it, pick our 16 and have them put on a show!



  • WHEN?

    The date and city will be announced later

    The event will be on a weekend and is all paid for for all selected players (travel, hotel, food)

who can be nominated?

The Cadeau Classic Basketball Games feature the top 16 boy and 16 girl players born 2006 or 2007 throughout Sweden and sets itself apart from other comparable events in that players are selected based on a systematic voting process.

Any basketball player born 2006 or 2007 can be nominated.

The players have to fullfil academic and other requirements.

the nomination

Nominations can only be submitted by eligible nominators:

  • School Head Coach

  • Club Head Coach

  • School Athletic Director 

  • Cadeau Classic Games Selection Committee

Athletic Achievement:

  • Player’s accomplishments on the hardwood.

  • Club & School career: All evaluations and nominations are based on the individual player’s fundamental skill level, basketball IQ, competitive motor, potential for continued growth and development and athleticism.

  • At the time of selection, the candidate will be in their 2nd or 3rd year of Gymnasiet (born 2006 or 2007). Situations where a candidate is no longer eligible: season ending injury and or suspension/removal from school or club team.

Scholastic Achievement:

  • All nominees must have passing grades in all core classes. 

  • Nominees cannot hold a professional status as a basketball player or receive payment/inducements for participation in basketball games/events.

  • Each nominee must be in 2nd or 3rd year of Gymnasie and are on schedule to graduate in May or June the year of or the following year of the year nominated.

  • Nominees cannot have their 19th birthday before September 1st of their senior year.

  • A high school or organization is only allowed to have two (2) players to encourage the selection of qualified players from a broad range of schools. In rare exceptions, a third (3rd) player from a high school or organization will be allowed when the absence of this player would significantly undermine the quality of the game. The rare third (3rd) player exception is determined at the sole discretion of the selection committee.

  • Nominees must have lived in Sweden for one calendar year prior to their nomination and have attended a Swedish based high school for that one calendar year.

The date and location will be announced soon.

There will be two games. One for the women and one for the men. This will be a community event where we will welcome anyone in the basketball world to take part.

The games will be streamed for college coaches and others.
