Starting the road to NIL

In the summer of 2021 NCAA changed their rules to allow college student athletes to be able to make money and to profit on the Name, Image & Likeness. This rule changed the game of college basketball but also changed the life of student athletes.

A few states allowed these regulations to trickle down to high school athletes. In October of 2021 we found out that NJ probably would do this as early as 1/1/22. This is when we went to work to take advantage of that rule change.

I was lucky enough to have been approached by NBA agents and agencies last year. Some of them reached out for NIL and we started the conversations. To have an agent is obviously a great help dealing with NIL as the agent and agency can help with a lot of things and have the structure set up.

I know I am blessed in that regard and not everyone will be given that opportunity so my blog will have information about how to approach NIL even without an agent.

As I concentrate on the basketball side of my business my mom, Michelle, will be the one writing this blog.
